At Umi’s Beauty & Wellness, beauty is more than appearance—it’s a practice of care, intention, and artistry. Founded in 2023 by Amal Usman, the boutique was born from her lifelong passion for henna, threading, and skin care, cultivated over 14 years of professional experience. From her first henna designs at age nine to mastering threading in her early teens, Amal has dedicated her career to refining techniques that honor both tradition and precision.
After honing her craft for over eight years at a spa in Massachusetts, Amal moved to Rochester with her husband and three children, carrying with her a vision: to create a boutique where time-honored practices meet modern methods, and where every service nurtures confidence, well-being, and individuality. Umi’s beauty & wellness is the realization of that vision—a family-owned space built to offer intentional, results-driven beauty experiences in a welcoming and professional environment.
